About me

I am an Aerospace Engineering graduate from the Polytechnic University of Milan.

After working at Rolls-Royce plc in England as an Industrial Trainee, I moved to Japan, to work as a Graduate Researcher on rocket propulsion at the University of Tokyo and ISAS (Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, now part of JAXA).

I have worked in finance since 2003 in various programming and managerial positions.

My work sits at the intersection of theory and applied craft. Trained in mathematics, physics, and aerospace engineering, I have spent long time building fluency across a wide range of disciplines; from the calculus of complex analysis and the geometry of curved spacetime, to quantum mechanics, classical field theory, and the mathematics of information.

In finance, I bring both quantitative depth and boardroom experience. My background spans corporate and investment banking, covering financial statement analysis, company valuation, and the psychological frameworks that underpin sound long term investment thinking. I approach markets the way I approach physics: with first principles, rigour, and a healthy respect for what remains unknown.

On the engineering side, I am fluent across the full spectrum; from mechanical statics and rigid body dynamics to numerical simulations and control systems. I am equally at home deriving Lagrangian equations of motion and tuning a pendulum feedback controller, or writing the simulation that brings both to life.

I have a deep and growing interest in artificial intelligence. My explorations span neural network architectures, including feedforward networks, large language models, and the transformer paradigm, as well as the practical application of these systems to classification, reinforcement learning, and intelligent automation. I believe the next generation of engineering and scientific work will be fundamentally shaped by AI, and I am committed to building at that frontier.

As a full-stack developer, I have refined my skills across more than a decade of production work; from Ruby to Node.js, across front-end and back-end, APIs and systems design. I am deeply familiar with Linux systems administration and security, and I take pride in building applications that are not only functional but elegantly conceived.
