This page documents the evolution of my repertoire as I advance in rating and experience. I focus on a specific set of active and reliable systems that are not widely used, so their in-depth understanding could give an advantage.
For the white pieces, I explore the Vienna Game and the imbalances created by the Trompowsky Attack, and specific variation of the Sicilian that are avoiding theory as much as possible.
When playing black, my focus shifts against 1.e4 on the solid Caro-Kann defense or the the aggressive Scandinavian Defense. Against 1.d4, I study the Queen's Gambit and the Dutch Defense.
By concentrating on these selected systems, I am improving my understanding of pawn structures and middlegame plans. I try to refine these setups, learn from my mistakes, and progressively master these paths to victory.
